After Work!

  Did you like cracker jacks…not so much for the tasty treat but for the surprise inside? Is the best part of your Chinese takeout the fortune cookie? Then these books are for you because each one is like opening a new present! No two are alike!!! I was given a handmade journal by someone very special to me. It meant so much to me that I had to sit down and play with the process of making more of them for myself. This month my sister and I spent some time making these one of a kind altered journals especially for PFATT. Now understand that we believe in coloring outside of the lines and that mistakes are a part of life so please know that each book is made with love and care; however, we accept no responsibility for tiny imperfections and will not admit as to whether they were intentional or not. We hope you enjoy our sense of humor. Journals can be used to jot down your day's highlights, write your music, draw your designs, keep your secret thoughts, or store addresses. You might even use your journal as a place to write down your favorite recipes or simply keep your grocery lists and carry them to the store in style.

Cindy made this journal for the creative soul and fun at heart. It’s vamp dancer on the front cover.  It also has Typewriter Keys below her that spell out “DANCE”. The back cover has a long red envelope to hide your innermost secret of dreams. The book is definitely for the person with an off beat sense of humor. It also contains many surprises inside.

And lastly this little pink journal is for a sweet someone special. With its vintage ephemera and feminine touches it would be perfect for anyone’s inner child. It's always exciting when PFATT is posting new items for the month!  It's SPRING!  Check it out by clicking on the banner above.  Next month will be our Halloween in June promotion (with doorprizes!) and in July we plan a Christmas in July promotion.   PFATT a wonderful place full of goodies to get lost in! I have been working all day today on some special releases for " A PFATT EVENT" that will be an open market at midnight June 10Th !  All of the artists and crafters have been hard at work to submit our work.  It will be great fun.  There are lots of door prizes offered so be sure to stop over and join the party!

PFATT TIME AGAIN

It's time for PFATT again!!!!  My fairies will soon be joined by future friends that are now on the drawing board. I will be releasing all the new work monthly on PFATT so keep your eyes open.  *GRIN*  I am excited about getting back at my favorite project and making one of a kind dolls to go with them.  Fairy Folk cards are 5”x 7” with a blank inside to allow for your personal greeting or note. A fanciful description of the fairy and her humorous activities is on the back of each card and is sure to bring a smile to whomever you may decide to send them to. There are Six Fairies in a package (One package includes one of each of the above pictured.) I am so excited about beginning to release more Fairy Folk Cards, Original Dolls and Accessories on PFATT. PFATT Releases

PFATT's new releases are out!  Be sure to stop in and see all the new work.  My piece was done in honor of family and mothers. 

A one of a kind 8x10 inch assemblage to celebrate MOM. This piece features a photo of my mother-in-law and her mother taken over eighty years ago. The picture celebrates all mothers and daughters throughout time. I have added old typewriter keys that spell out “MOM”. Beneath the letters there is an antique bobbin that holds thread from the last dress she made. On the lower left hand corner the inner mechanism of an antique camera that features a picture that announces Mom can make Blue Plate Dinners for only Fifty Cents. The arm of the mechanism is moveable which makes it interactive and adds special interest to the piece. It was painted with acrylic paint and a torch to get the rippled, aged, and burnt look I was trying to achieve. This one of a kind piece of art is signed and dated by he artist, me, Claudia! It's PFATT Time!

Just a reminder to check PFATT today since the early bird gets the worm! Pirates, Pirates, Pirates

My Grandson is into pirates these days so I have pirates on my mind.  I have just made his piece available on PFATT.  I had so much fun doing this series of paintings!  I used acryilcs and a blow torch!! LOL!  Using the little torch was the only way I could get the bubbling and aged look I wanted to acheive.  It's an interatctive piece.  The lense aperature can still be opened and closed, there is a compass on it and a big brass key that someone can hang a few light trinkes of their own on.  Hidden in the piece are a few images and old treasures to discover. 

Things that blend in and that aren't noticed immediately like these sillouettes of two pirates and an old brass numeral tack.

And my favorite things like a piece of a treasure map,the pirate's scull and sword, the key which has hooks on it to use for personal items any pirate lover wants to add.  If you look carefully below the key you will see the word, "treasures".   I had fun making it.  To see it on PFATT click here.  I am so excited to be a PFATTie!
