Where's Waldo? So here I am at the worlds largest music festival which happens to be Summerfest and is just a mere 25 minute drive from my home! I drove up with a friend and her family and split up for a bit to meet my son and daughter-in-law. We watched the Tragically Hip perform while my friends wandered down a bit to see Joan Jett and other groups. The day was fantastic! At Summerfest a person can wander from band to band, see comedians, strike up conversation with anyone (because it is the world's biggest party), try out Milwaukee's finest beers and eat just about anything you could think of! There is no greater place to do some of the best people watching if you have time for it.!
Of course the Fourth of July was in the midst of it all. All of my kids called from all over the place and I love it when they do that! And....I had company for the weekend and we took the boat out on the lake. I so love the water!. We drove up the river just as the parade was ending and stopped for a bite to eat along the way. Then we were underway for some serious wave running! Here I am teaching my friend's mother how to drive the boat!
It was a wonderful way to spend the day. There is nothing better than having a new grandbaby, going to Summerfest, and the Fourth of July all in one week! It doesn't get anybetter! I love LIFE!
