Paul and Laura have returned home today. I am so happy to have them out of the hospital. I was relieved to hear they were headed home to recover. It's a good day to bundle up and stay inside...rainy and cold. Even the dogs don't want to go out. Gus, Rosie, and Jimmie (who is my son's dog) are all curled up under my feet. They are making various sleeping noises and I am tempted to surrender to a Sunday afternoon snooze. It is nice to sit and listen to all the quiet sounds The rain is pattering on the window and I hear the distant sound of trains. "Whooooooooooooooo.....Whooooooooooooo", they sound out and I strain to hear them as they move further and further into the distance. My biggest task today will be fixing dinner. I have pulled out several magazines from my stash to enjoy. These were in the front of my basket.
This one is a must and I just sent a subscription of it to my daughter who will LOVE it! I think it is my new replacement for Mary Englebright's "Home Companion". Mary Jane's Farm reminds me of the past and it encourages a "greener lifestyle". I love it's contemplative contents.
Next is................
Maybe it is the voyeur in me or maybe it's my need to organize myself and my art supplies that draws me to this magazine. It makes me want to be a more organized artist.
And lastly for today and into the night.....
